How to Upload Videos to YouTube – Part Two
When you get to You Tube register for an account if you don't have on yet. Once you log in there is a yellow tab on the right that says up upload. Click on this tab and on the next page you click browse.
This should take you to where you can search the location of your videos. Normally the videos will be under C drive, users, then my videos, or my pictures. Once you find your video click on it and it should fill in on the You Tube screen.
Next just fill in the description of your video and select which category your video will be in. You will also have to select the keywords so users can find your videos. When you hit save You Tube will upload your video and you just wait for them to add it.
If you run or business or just want to share funny moments You Tube is a great way to broadcast your videos to the world.
Unfortunately not everyone knows how to do this so I am going to show you if you are going to upload a video from Windows Movie Maker, make sure you've saved it as a movie file and not just pressed "Save As". Only then will it be available to you when uploading on YouTube.
If you want a lot of views, make the title simple, and keep your tags short and right to the point.
Come up with a creative title.
Make your tags not exactly like the title so this video will show up more often.
Look at the most viewed videos for hints on the title, tags, and other things.
Include your username in the tags section of the video.
Try to have a decent description. It won't help if the description is the same as the title.
Do not upload copyrighted material onto YouTube. It's against the rules of YouTube. The video with copyrighted material will get deleted as a warning. If you continue uploading copyrighted content onto YouTube several more times, your account will be suspended. You could even be fined or imprisoned. Especially avoid violating copyrights belonging to film studios, independent filmmakers (even the most obscure ones are merciless about their copyrights), singers, actors, etc. Some YouTube users are also notoriously aggressive in enforcing their copyrights.
YouTube only allows a maximum of 10 minutes per video. It also doesn't allow more than 2 GB per video.
YouTube accepts AVI, MPEG video, WMV, MP4 or MOV video formats.
It usually takes a long time to upload videos, so be prepared to be patient.
Don't post nudity in your video - your account will be deleted.
Read YouTube's Terms and Conditions on what and what not to post on YouTube.
